Remember when a lucky penny on the ground was the best thing that had ever happened? Why do we ignore pennies now? Is this some kind of real-life symbol of lost innocence? Or is it just that pennies are worth nearly nothing and they don’t matter? Or is some kind of weird proof that no one is sentimental? Or that no one believes in luck? I’m confused about pennies.
