Caplan - Week 12

Turtles don't do much.
Sit, eat, hide, hide, hide some more, move a little.
Then repeat.
They do live about 100 years though.
I'm surprised they don't die of boredom.
I totally get why snapping turtles bite stuff.
Snapping turtles are the only reason people don't use turtles as paperweights and conversation pieces.

This post might just be an embodiment of my turtle ignorance.

Why was I late for school today?

Well I was having this AMAZING dream where I was flying through the sky over the Grand Canyon with some kind of electronic rewiring of Chariots of Fire playing in my head.
Then my alarm clock went off, invading my dream in the form of a jumbo jet that knocked me out of the sky. As usual, I subconsciously reached out to shut off the clock. Instead I ended up punching it off the table and shattering it against the wall. Naturally, that didn't really wake me up; I kind of half opened my eyes, didn't see the clock, and assumed I could sleep some more. In this case, til 7:30.

In any case, I'm very sad about how waking up this morning killed my dream and my alarm clock. I think the school needs to reprioritize and understand what this up-before-the-sun thing is costing us. It is literally killing my dreams.

At a dance convention this past Sunday I watched my acro teacher throw himself out of a second story balcony and then roll to the cement ground. I had said to as a joke, and then he actually did it. Truly death defying and quite impressive.
