A story idea that I had while working on a research paper - A college student begins working on a very important research project on a musician from the sixties. In doing so, she uncovers some interesting information about the musician's wife, his muse and the subject of a good deal of his songs. Through further research and traveling to the places he lived, the student begins to uncover the mystery. It turns out his "wife" wasn't his wife at all, simply a Petrarchan love whom he was madly enamored with from afar. The public simply believed she was his mysterious wife when in reality she barely knew him. The student's project eventually leads her to meet the musician and he tells her his twisted life story.
