I want to write a story where there's a Light Side and a Dark Side and someone's the Chosen One to save the world because the prophecy says so but the main character (who's on the Light Side) actually isn't the Chosen One because it's revealed that the Chosen One is leading the Dark Side. The MC is also revealed to be an heir to the Throne of Light. But in reality, the "Light Side" is what the true villains call themselves because they think they are the saviors of society and angels sent from heaven, and they see the true heroes as the cancer of the world that need to be destroyed, and so they call them the Dark Side because the villains believe they are morally justified in what they are doing, and the story never portrays their actions as evil because their perspective is all warped, until the truth is revealed.
The scary thing is, all true evil that exists in our world has this perspective. They don't see themselves as evil. And that's what makes true evil incredibly dangerous.
