I can't believe it... I finally found it. I found elephant burlesque! Wait, let me back up to about a month ago.
I was listening to "Feeling Good" (the Michael Buble version) with my good friend, and when the "smooth jazz" came in, she exclaimed, "This is my favorite part, because it sounds exactly like elephant circus music." I cringed at her innocence, and rebuked, "I hate to break it to you, but I'm pretty sure this is kinda like stripper music." She was still adamant, so I decided to take the case to an unbiased party– my bus buddy.
I commented on how we were debating on whether the smooth jazz in the song was stripper music or elephant music. Of course, my bus buddy was of no help, and thought it was actually a combination of both– classy elephant stripper music. Thus, elephant burlesque was born.
Recently, I watched Aladdin (because really, everybody loves Disney), and I had "Friend Like Me" stuck in my head, so my bus buddy and I decided to watch the video. Towards the end, we saw the yellow dancing elephants, and we both simultaneously exclaimed, "ELEPHANT BURLESQUE!" I'm pretty sure half of my bus thinks we're bonkers, but it was pretty satisfying to finally find what we were looking for.
Also, on a completely different note: I'm often concerned with my own (and my friends') mental sanity.
