Carter Week 10

People's individual senses of humor are constantly evolving based on the people they're interacting with. As a small example, whenever I consistently talk to somebody I find I tend to start imitating some of their more unique vocabulary.

Week 10 Samiul

Zootopia was playing on the TV. I understood that the movie was attempting to bridge differences between a majority group and an unfairly treated minority. However, i found it amusing that the minorities in Zootopia was called "predators".

Isabelle week 9

I've never been good at lying, in fact I'm really really terrible at lying. So I've pretty much always just told the truth, theres no point in lying if everyone knows I'm lying. Recently I've hated lying more than ever, I'm not really sure why only recently but I get so mad at people when they lie to me. I also get so mad at myself when I lie, I just feel so bad and think about it for so long. However, really recently I've learned that sometimes lying is okay. Sometimes being honest really sucks and will get you in really unwanted situation.

Isabelle week 8

Kids always freak out when an adult says they're disappointed. I have recently discovered that this also works on adults. Just tell them you're disappointed and they'll shape up real fast.

Isabelle week 7

Sometimes online friends are so much better than real life friends. You decide what they know about you, with them you don't have a reputation. You can whoever you want, you can be 100% yourself and they wont judge you. They can become such a big part of your life which is so strange because you might never even meet them face to face.

Hannah Uler - Post 10

I have broken a rule and added another book to my list of books to read, but in my defense, it sounds like a really good book. A modern-day witch named Hannah, living in Salem, MA, falling in love with a ballerina while solving mysteries. I need that in my life.

Week 10 Laura

I was talking with my German Exchange student the other day on facetime for a couple hours. I was typing on my chromebook for a good amount of time while we did, resting the phone on the space between the screen and keys. Everyone else I had ever done that with has asked me to stop writing since apparently my typing is abnormally loud. She's the first one who hasn't asked me that, even when I offered. I'm not sure if she's just too nervous to say yes, or if she legitimately doesn't mind. Either way, I like it.
